Howdy, I’m Mitch Ryan, better known by most as The Financial Cowboy. I’ve lived a life of hard lessons, second chances, and undeniable transformation. I come from a background most wouldn’t expect: former electrician, oil field operator, club manager, and single dad just trying to make ends meet. But through every struggle, every setback, and every moment of doubt, God had a bigger plan.
R8 Family Financial was born not just from business experience, but from real life. The name “R8” represents more than my last name and my eight incredible children. It stands for the values we live by, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Redemption, Relationship, Results, Revival, and Righteousness. This business is built on faith, family, and a fierce commitment to helping others rise up and rewrite their future.
I’m not your typical financial guy in a suit. I wear boots and a cowboy hat, but what I bring to the table is bigger than style, it’s substance, heart, and purpose. I help families understand life insurance, Medicare, retirement planning, debt freedom, and legacy protection in a way that makes sense, without pressure, and always with love.
My life changed when I partnered with Damian and Chelsea Mackey, Owners and Founders of UE Financial Group. I found a system that finally matched my calling. A group that wasn’t just about production, but about people. They believed in me before I believed in myself, and now I get to pass that belief on to others.
My wife Rachel and I run this business together, and we’re not building a company, we’re building a mission. A place where agents can become leaders. Where clients become family. Where faith is our foundation and service is our standard.
I’m here to help people turn brokenness into breakthrough. To help agents turn side hustles into legacy empires. And to help every person I meet realize that it’s never too late to change your life when God’s in the center of it.

Meet Rachel Ryan – The Heart of R8

Rachel Ryan is more than the co-founder of R8 Family Financial, she’s the heart and soul behind everything we do. With a story rooted in strength, faith, and selfless service, Rachel leads with compassion, clarity, and conviction. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s exactly what made her the powerful woman she is today.
Diagnosed with epilepsy at just 13 years old, Rachel faced rejection, limitation, and hardship early in life. But instead of letting that define her, she leaned into her calling to care for others. She spent years helping her grandparents through difficult health seasons and saw firsthand how confusing and broken the Medicare system could be. That experience planted the seed for her future.
After marrying Mitch in 2013, Rachel stood beside him through the ups and downs, raising a blended family, overcoming financial setbacks, and walking hand-in-hand through faith, failure, and favor. When she saw how many families struggled with the same issues hers did, she knew it was time to join the mission. Rachel got licensed and stepped fully into her calling, not just to support Mitch, but to lead with him.
Today, Rachel helps clients, especially women, caregivers, and seniors, navigate Medicare, life insurance, estate planning, and financial security with a level of care and sincerity that’s rare in this industry. She knows what it’s like to feel overlooked, unheard, and unprepared, and she’s on a mission to change that for every family she meets.
Her quiet strength, her relentless loyalty, and her heart for service make her the anchor of the R8 Family. She leads not with noise, but with presence. Not with pressure, but with peace. Rachel is living proof that God uses the unexpected to do the extraordinary.
